Obituary for Colette "Sugie" Dalton

Colette “Sugie” Dalton, 78, of Eagle Lake, Covington Township, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart Inpatient Unit in Dunmore with her daughter Fran by her side. She was the wife of Patrick Dalton and the couple was married for almost 30 years.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late William and Stephane (Prusko) Terascavage. Colette was a devote christian woman, as a member of The Church of Saint Catherine of Siena in Moscow, she was a Religious Education Teacher, volunteered at Vacation Bible School and participated in Eucharistic Adoration. She also volunteered at the annual picnic at The Church of Saint Eulalia in Roaring Brook Twp.

Colette had a heart for animals, she would feed the deer and other wildlife that visited her property. She would also help the cats in her community by feeding and finding loving homes for them.

In addition to her husband Patrick, Colette is survived by her children: Francine Bonczkowski and her spouse Jesse Dillon of Dunellen, NJ and Paula Rudolph and her spouse Brian of East Hanover, NJ; her grandchildren: Matthew, Brendan and Lauren Rudolph; her nephew: Dean Depotovich and her niece: Stephane Hernandez. She was a loving step-mom to Jimmy Dalton and his spouse Haydee of Berkeley Heights, NJ and Rosie Dalton of Jersey City, NJ and a step-grandmother to Elena and Julia Dalton. She is also survived by her grand-dogs: Barney & Teddy. She was preceded in death by her sister: Teresa “Honey” Deveney and her nephew: Drew Deveney.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 11:00 am to 12:00 Noon at The Church of Saint Catherine of Siena, 220 Church Street, Moscow Pa 18444.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 Noon at The Church of Saint Catherine of Siena, 220 Church Street, Moscow Pa 18444 to be celebrated by Father Robert J. Simon. Interment with Rite of Committal will follow at St. Catherine's Cemetery in Covington Twp.

In lieu of flowers, Colette has selected three charities that were very important to her and requested that donations be sent to: Our Lady of the Roses, P.O. Box 52, Bayside, NY 11361 or Heaven Can Wait Animal Rescue, c/o Ruth Human, 10 Gable Road, New City, NY 10956 or Eastern PA Animal Alliance at http://www.epaaonline.com/index.html.

Colette's family asks that you bring cat or dog food to the church on Tuesday to be donated to the local animal shelter in her memory.
