Every Day is Veterans’ Day: Military & Veterans Tributes

WWII Drawing of Brian Strauch

Brian Strauch tells us why he feels so strongly about honoring our nation’s veterans:

“My father was a combat medic during WWII and saw action during the Battle of the Bulge in the Ardennes forest. My son served his country in Korea and Iraq. All of us in the Strauch family feel a deep sense of obligation and thanks to our veterans. We pledge to do all we can to conduct their last farewell with dignity, respect, and honor.”

We believe everyday is Veterans’ Day and have commissioned a memorial at our flagpole to remind all whom travel past: Freedom Is Not Free!

All veterans who come to the Strauch Family of Funeral Homes are eligible to receive Military Honors. For our soldiers and veterans, we offer such services as a military honor guard, the 21-gun salute, and the traditional playing of Taps. Contact us today to discuss a noble tribute for your veteran.

Veterans Benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs can include such services and items as:

  • Reimbursement of burial expenses
  • Burial in national or VA cemeteries
  • Burial flags to drape the casket
  • Headstones and markers
  • Presidential memorial certificates

We will assist you in finding out which federal and local benefits your loved one is eligible for, or you may explore the VA website for more information. View answers to your questions about burial and memorial benefits for your veteran.
