Obituary for Jeffrey Joseph Studenski

Jeffrey Joseph Studenski, 60, of Danville, passed away on Monday May 14, 2018 at home.

Born in Scranton on March 31, 1958, he was the son of Michael Studenski, Sr. of South Scranton and Maryann (Walsh) Studenski of Moscow. After graduating high school, Jeff attended Penn State and Marywood University where he earned his Bachelors Degree in Accounting. Jeff had three beautiful children: Susan, Jeffrey and Michelle. Jeff and along with his family, made their way to Danville for a job opportunity with Geisinger in 1985, where he was still employed on the day of his passing as a senior financial analyst.

Jeff was a longtime loyal member of the Washington Fire Hall, where he was fondly known as “Jeff the Greeter” and had many friends. He also enjoyed frequenting the Danville Rec. Center to work out and stay in shape. One of the things he enjoyed the most over the last 11 years was being called “Grand Daddy”. He was a proud, loving and doting grandfather to his two “grand kids”, Racquel and Chase And was looking forward to the birth of his third grandchild that is due in July, who will be named Maryann in honor of his mother. Jeff always enjoyed attending the sporting events, school shows and celebrations for his grandchildren.

He was passionate about music and fondly recollected playing the drums in a band when he was young. Jeff had high hopes that his granddaughter, Racquel, would someday learn how to play his drums.

As a devoted son, he regularly visited his mother and father. Jeff was a loving and giving father who did any and everything he could for his children and grandchildren. He was also a dog lover who leaves behind his loyal companion, Max. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

Jeff was the youngest of three sons. His brothers are Michael of Scranton and James, who preceded him in death.

A blessing service will be held on Monday, May 21 at 12:00 noon at Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, LLC 3 First St in Spring Brook Twp to be celebrated by Father Robert Simon. Entombment with Rite of Committal will follow in Saint Catherine’s Cemetery in Covington Twp. An additional celebration of Jeff’s life will be held at the “Washies” Fire Hall in Danville, on Tuesday, May 22, from 5-6:30 p.m.
