Obituary for Carmen Nordstrom

Carmen Nordstrom, 80, a resident of Big Bass Lake since 1993, died on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at home. She was the wife of John D. “Johnny Whispers” Nordstrom and the couple was married on October 12, 1972.

Born in Mexico City, Mexico, Carmen was the daughter of the late Jose' Maria Herrera and Virginia Garcia . Before moving to Gouldsboro, she worked as a hairstylist at Terry Dean on 86th Street in Brooklyn. A talented artist, Carmen enjoyed painting, making ceramics and needlework.

Carmen is survived by her sister and was preceded in death by her 2 brothers.

A blessing service will be held on Tuesday, March 6th at 6:30 pm at Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, LLC 3 First Street in Spring Brook Twp. Interment with Rite of Committal will be private.

Viewing will be on Tuesday from 4:00 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.
