Loretta Spangenberg

Loretta J. Spangenberg, 68, of Lake Spangenberg , Lake Ariel , died Sunday at home. Her husband of 51 years is George L. Spangenberg.

Born January 17, 1939 in Sacco , PA , she was the daughter of the late Wayne and Mable Bell Compton. She was a lifetime member of the First Assembly of God Church in Hamlin. Educated in Moscow schools, she had previously been employed for many years at Katz's Garment Company, Honesdale. She was co-owner of Lake Spangenberg Water Co. and Spangenberg Enterprises.

She enjoyed her flower gardening and church functions and was extremely proud of her heavenly blessings, her family and friends. She departed this earth to live eternally with her Savior.

Surviving are: three daughters: Donna O' Hara, and husband, Thomas, Lake Winola

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jean Marie Spangenberg Alu, January 10, 2006, 3 brothers, Denver , Clifford, and LaVerne Compton.

The funeral will be on Friday at 11:00 AM in the First Assembly of God Church, 613 Easton Turnpike, Hamlin, with Rev. Gordon White, Pastor, officiating. Entombment, Fairview Memorial Park , Elmhurst .

Friends may call on Thursday from 5-8 PM in the Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Home, Route 690 and First Street, Spring Brook Township and Friday from 10 AM until the time of the service in the Church.
