Brian's love of history - all kinds! - led him to join with Robert Knight and Dennis McGinnis in the formation of the Gouldsboro Area Foundation (GAF). Their renovation of the historic Gouldsboro Train Station happened through the tireless work of all the GAF members.
Deborah Strauch, Funeral Assistant
Married to Brian, Deborah helped found the Brian Strauch Funeral Home in Moscow. In addition to raising their family, she worked side by side with her husband to provide caring service and a "woman's touch."
Deborah is a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and was past president of the Moscow Women's Club. She enjoys painting, creating jewelry and essential oils, and - most important - she cherishes time spent with her family.
Corey Brian Strauch, LFD
Corey is a fifth-generation funeral director following in the family tradition of service to the community. A 2000 graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelors in Business Management and a 2001 graduate of Simmons Institute of Funeral Service; he holds his funeral directors license in both Pennsylvania and Michigan. He is also licensed to handle pre-need funeral plans.
Corey, like his father, has a love for the outdoors and hiking. Perhaps his greatest achievement to date was his 2007 Thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail in which he hiked the entire trail stretching from Georgia to Maine; covering 2174 miles in 109 days.
He is an avid biker and runner competing in numerous marathons and triathlons through out the Northeast. Odds are if he's not at the funeral home you'll see him along the road training for his next race. Staying active and physically fit is part of his family's daily life. In-fact, just this year his daughters Isabelle, 9, and Emma, 7, completed their first Triathlon "Mussel Kids" in Seneca Lake State Park, NY.
